10th SEARN Assembly Advances Regional Collaboration on Regulatory Systems
The Department of Drug Administration (DDA), with the technical support of WHO Headquarters, WHO SEARO, WHO Country Office, and development partners, successfully hosted the 10th SEARN Assembly Meeting on 4–5 August 2026 under the theme “Strengthening National Regulatory Authorities: Fostering a Sustainable Capacity-Building Ecosystem in South-East Asia.”
The meeting brought together esteemed representatives from policymakers, National Regulatory Authorities, and National Quality Control Laboratories of Member States. Key achievements and outputs of 2025–26 were reviewed, and the Terms of Reference and 2026–27 work plan were endorsed.
We sincerely appreciate the valuable support and contributions of all organizers, partners, and participants. It was a privilege for Nepal to serve as the host country, and we hope all distinguished delegates enjoyed Nepal’s warm hospitality and had a pleasant stay.
